Hey there!
Are you looking for the perfect recipe to whip up for a cosy date night at home? Look no further, because I have a scrumptious, easy-to-make dish that will impress your special someone: Chicken Stroganoff.
Trust me, this creamy, flavourful meal is a total winner that will have you both swooning! 🍝❤️
Ingredients
1 tbsp (15ml) Olive Oil
200g Chestnut Mushrooms, sliced
1 Onion (60g), chopped
1 Garlic Clove, chopped
2 Chicken Breasts (330g), raw, cut into bite-sized pieces
150ml Chicken Stock
1 tsp Wholegrain Mustard
Pinch Ground Nutmeg
125g Soured Cream
2 nests (150g) of tagliatelle pasta
Handful of Parsley
To taste Salt & Pepper
Method
Slice all ingredients.
Sauté the onions and garlic in the oil until soft.
Add in the chicken and mushrooms and fry until golden brown.
Add in the stock and reduce.
Turn off the heat and mix in the mustard, nutmeg, and seasoning.
Allow to cool for a few minutes, then add the soured cream.
On a low heat, very gently warm for 3-4 minutes whilst the soured cream heats.
Serve with pasta, rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
Good to know:
Allow the sauce to cool before adding in the soured cream- if it's too hot or you boil the soured cream, it will split!
Drink with a nice white wine, enjoy!
